SaaS & tech growth · search first

Growth starts with
traffic acquisition.
It ends in more MRR.

I'm Kevin. I've spent 10 years growing SaaS and tech products, with more than $75M in profitable ad spend behind me. I start with paid search, then follow your users through the landing page, app, signup and checkout, and A/B test every step with your product, design and engineering teams to lift conversion rate.

01 · How I work

Search gets people in the door. The rest of the funnel decides if they pay.

Ten years in, I've seen most of the ways a funnel leaks, so I get up to speed fast. Some of the biggest wins I've found were on a pricing page, in a signup form, or in a tag that wasn't firing.

  1. 01

    Search first

Google and Microsoft Ads come first, where intent is highest. Meta and other channels follow when they make sense.

  2. 02

    Measure it properly

Tags, events and attribution get checked before anything else, because every recommendation depends on that data.

  3. 03

    Follow the user

I go through your funnel the way a new visitor does, and note every point where people slow down, hesitate or leave.

  4. 04

    A/B test everything

My favorite lever for conversion rate. Ads, landing pages, signup, pricing and checkout, always with a next test lined up.

02 · Economics

Growth that pays for itself.

Volume is easy to buy. Most of my time goes into the numbers that decide whether it's worth buying: what a customer is worth, how quickly they pay back, and where the next dollar earns the most.

  • LTV by channel, plan and market
  • Cohorted MRR and retention
  • CAC payback by channel
  • Forecasting spend, MRR and ARR
  • Marginal returns on new spend
  • Targets set from your margins
Before scaling a budget
LTV
monthly ARPA × gross margin ÷ monthly churn
CAC payback, in months
CAC ÷ (monthly ARPA × gross margin)
Cohort MRR retention
cohort MRR today ÷ its MRR in month one
Marginal ROAS
extra revenue ÷ extra ad spend

07 · About

Hi, I'm Kevin.

I've worked in performance marketing since 2016, starting in France, then the UK and Barcelona. In 2018 I moved to Taipei to join Taroko and run paid acquisition for LegalTemplates, Termly and Resume Genius, and in 2022 I started UPRYSE to keep doing that work hands‑on, without a traditional agency layer in between. When you work with UPRYSE, you work with me directly: no account managers, no handoffs to junior staff, and everything stays in your own ad accounts.

Today I'm also Head of Growth at Taroko, which builds and runs several SaaS products, LegalTemplates among them. I lead a cross‑functional team spanning PPC, SEO, content, product marketing and UI/UX, and personally run an 8-figure annual paid media budget across the portfolio.

I work with teams across the US, Europe and Asia, and build my own analysis tools on the ad platforms' APIs, so every recommendation rests on the full dataset, not a sample.
